Isfahan International Exhibition hosts industrial home appliances that prevent foreign exchange outflows.

In the last days of the year, the Isfahan Province International Exhibition is hosting an exhibition that includes all the necessities related to kitchen equipment.

According to the Asr Isfahan newspaper on Saturday, March 25, the exhibition is expected to play an effective role in improving the quality and quantity of manufacturers with the presence of activists in this field.

This exhibition, which is scheduled to be held from March 26 to 29 of this year, seems to be met with an unparalleled reception like previous exhibitions.

In this regard, Ahmadreza Tahanian, CEO of Isfahan Province International Exhibitions Company, said in an interview with this newspaper reporter: In the modern era, home appliances constitute a vital component of people’s expenses and play an important role in improving living standards and increasing comfort.

“Home Appliance Industry” Accelerator of Economic Development
The CEO of Isfahan Province International Exhibitions Company stated that home products include a wide range that changes the details of people’s lives, and continued: Therefore, with the improvement of the quality of people’s lives, the demand for home appliances has diversified and increased significantly, which has had an impact on the global economy as a whole and has led to the stimulation of demand and increased production, to the point that the “home appliance industry” is considered one of the sectors that accelerate economic development all over the world.

Tahanian stated: In Iran, this need is also expanding day by day, following the global market, but with the departure of well-known foreign brands from the country, special conditions arose and the burden of production fell entirely on the shoulders of domestic producers. Since this industry is intertwined with people’s daily lives and needs, it required a lot of effort from the activists of this industry so that they can meet all the needs of the country today.

The CEO of Isfahan Province International Exhibitions Company stated: The efforts made have ultimately led to home appliances becoming one of the most important industries in the country. High turnover, export potential and high employment generation capacity have led to significant investment in this field developing significantly in recent years. This industry prevents the outflow of foreign exchange and also helps create added value for the country.

Production with more competitive quality
The specialized exhibition of modern home and kitchen equipment and appliances is of course to be held in a situation where manufacturers in this field are facing two main challenges, and according to Alireza Ghandi, head of the Isfahan Home Appliances Union, currency fluctuations and the lack of parts are the two main challenges for home appliance manufacturers.

He said: Currently, due to the lack of some parts that we need to import from abroad and due to currency fluctuations and the high cost of these goods, manufacturers are facing serious problems.

This is while, according to this home appliance activist, the purpose of importing home appliances was so that the manufacturer could produce with greater capacity and have high-quality domestic products, but it seems that not only has this not happened, but also because of the high cost of raw materials and because home appliance factories have to import some of their raw materials from abroad, the manufacturers have faced serious problems in this regard.

In response to the question whether we have been able to compete with foreign competitors with domestic products and export our products, the head of the Isfahan Home Appliances Union stated: Currently, due to the lack of some parts that we have to import from abroad and due to currency fluctuations and the high cost of these goods, the manufacturer is facing serious problems.

The middle ground is high price
Alireza Ghandi, stating that we have been successful in the field of producing large household appliances, but we are facing problems in the field of small household appliances, added: At the same time, some appliances, such as refrigerator motors, must be imported from abroad, and due to currency fluctuations and the high value of the dollar, domestically produced household appliances become expensive for manufacturers, which makes people less willing to buy them.

Ghandi added: Although Iran has been able to make great progress in the field of producing household appliances, because there is dependence for some products and we have not achieved self-sufficiency, the problem of currency fluctuations and the high value of the dollar continues to be a problem for manufacturers.
