The specialized meeting “Investigating Opportunities for Trade Cooperation between Iran and Iraq” was held in coordination with the Isfahan Province International Exhibitions Company and hosted by the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. The event was attended by senior managers of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, a member of the board of directors of the Basra Chamber of Commerce, the director of international relations of the Nasiriyah Chamber of Commerce, and the Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Isfahan.The Iraqi guests, while explaining the structure and field of activity of the economic complexes under their management, introduced the capacities, opportunities, and potentials available in the fields of oil and gas, rubber, plastics, and related industries. During this meeting, the two sides, while examining ways to strengthen economic cooperation, emphasized the formation of joint specialized working groups, the exchange of trade delegations, and the provision of executive platforms for the development of Iranian exports of technical and engineering goods and services to the Iraqi market.
Holding this specialized meeting is considered an effective step towards improving the level of economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Iraq, and it is expected that with the continuation of such interactions, new opportunities for investment and trade development will be created between economic actors of the two countries.
